It's a Boy!

Kal'el* was born today at 5:30pm. He weighed in at 6lbs 11oz and is 21 inches long, and is very cute and we have the pictures to prove it. Both mother and baby are doing well, but are getting some much needed rest after a very long day, especially for Carlioness. Thanks to everyone for the support and prayers through the entire pregnancy and for tonight especially. Alright, alright I know that you really came here to see the pictures, and not to hear the ramblings of a very proud uncle, so here they are!

Ultrasounds

Brief Update

I'm guessing from the non-existence of posts from my siblings, we must all be very busy. I've been so busy that I only ended up calling Daisy yesterday to tell about what we saw in our 20wk ultrasound (plus a belated b-day call). I did leave a message for RAH on is cell since he is so far away.
So If you didn't notice the new counter, it is at the top of the page and it is set for a due date of Oct. 17th. When I finally made it to the doctor at the end of April, he had us get an ultrasound then since my last period wasn't normal. So after the ultrasound, we were actually 4 weeks further along than what I had figured (a couple of negative pregnancy tests threw me off).
So the big question of our baby's gender is very apparent in the pictures, which hopefully I will get around to posting, and yes, is correlated with the counter...IT'S A BOY!!! Isn't it interesting that we get pictures of our children's gender before birth, but we don't after birth.
His name will not be revealed until birth, so don't ask, I won't tell you. I'm feeling fine. My morning sickness only lasted through March and April, and I'm continually being told that I don't look pregnant. I have grown out of most of my pants, but don't yet fill maternity pants well enough to keep them from practically falling off. So for the past week, I really haven't enjoyed getting dressed unless it is in my draw string gym pants and a t-shirt.

"Whoosh, Whoosh, Whoosh"

It's real! We heard our baby's heartbeat today! So I've been leaning towards thinking that I'm about 11wks along, but since we heard the heartbeat, I'm probably about 13wks. So it might just be an October baby.
"Whoosh, Whoosh, Whoosh!" That was really cool to hear!

Different Days

I haven't been feeling so good lately. I've been sick on and off since Christmas (strep, flu, sinus congestion), but this time I was suspecting a different source. So I used Boss's loved cup and stick from the dollar store and discovered THIS...

So now we are excited that I don't feel that good every day. Though at times when my stomach thinks it is capable of doing cartwheels, it is hard for me to remember that I'm supposed to be happy.
Our new addition will be joining us in the beginning of November. At first we were thinking of waiting a month or so to announce, but Semaj decided that a week or so was long enough.

January is almost Over!?!

Since I'm a blogging slacker, here is a review of the past few months. I don't have yet pictures to show off our new house and recent projects. But here are a few things you can see in the background of some Nagol pics.

Here is Nagol enjoying the first snowfall at the end of October. In the background you can see the back of the detached garage and the back of the house. If you look carefully, you can see part of Semaj's motorcycle that he received from his father and rebuilt this summer. That was one of our summer projects that I haven't gotten around to telling about. It looks really cool now, but it has since been having some transmission problems. Oh well.

Here, Nagol is showing off some of the monsters made from his new ki-nex toys that he got for Christmas. You see that empty corner on the right? Well, the left hand corner used to look the same. That wood burning stove was removed by the previous owner as he was remodeling. We decided that we wanted it back in so we did it. We did the tile work there and at the front door too so that they would match. Semaj then welded together a support box to put in the ceiling and then put it all together. And there you have it. Though now one of the pipes is apparently missing a final coat or something because what it did have on, started burning and peeling off. But everything else works great!
As you can see here, Nagol LOVES swinging so we were very glad to have this swing in our new backyard.
